Presiding Elder Antonio R. Thomas

The Reverend Antonio R. Thomas,

a native Jacksonville received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration with a minor in science in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Ministry. Reverend Thomas accepted the call to the ministry in 1998 under the leadership of Reverend R. J. King at Nichols Chapel AME Church in Phenix City, Alabama. He is a leader, teacher, motivational speaker, and has faithfully done so for over twenty-five years. He is the treasurer of The Tuscaloosa Ministerial Alliance, VP of Harvest Community Charities in Birmingham, AL, President of the 9th Episcopal District AME Church Economic Development Ministry, and the Director for the AME churches for the Stillman College Thriving Congregational Program. These are only a few of his accomplishments and accolades leading the quality of leadership he offers. As a pastor, Rev. Antonio Thomas has served in the Ninth Episcopal District throughout Alabama.

He currently serves as the newly appointed Presiding Elder of the Celebrated Camden District AME Church of the Southwest Conference under the leadership of Bishop Harry L. Seawright, Presiding Prelate and Episcopal Supervisor, Reverend Sherita M. Seawright.

Elder Antonio Thomas is a devoted and proud father of two sons (Ryan and Antwan), one daughter (Lateesha), and two grandsons (Dre and Silas).
